2015 Champions League Final Today

Today marks the end of the 2014/2015 Champions League with a final for the ages.

Barcelona, ranked 2nd in the world according to the FIFA Club Coefficient take on 14th ranked Juventus in Berlin (2:45pm EST).

Barca, led by FIFA Player of the Year finalist Lionel Messi (10 goals) and Brazilian captain Neymar (9 goals), look to bring their fifth title back to the Camp Nou. Barcelona reached the final after disposing Bayern Munich 5-3 on aggregate over 2 legs back in May. Barcelona also has the distinct advantage of bringing a fully healthy side to do battle in Berlin.

La Vecchia Donna is led by Carlos Tevez (7 goals) and young upstart Alvaro Morata (4 goals), the latter scoring 2 goals in a 3-2 aggregate elimination of his former club, and world #1 ranked Real Madrid. Juventus is chasing their 3rd Champions League crown, and first since the 95/96 season. The Serie A champions come in hobbled on the back line, missing Giorgio Chiellini and Martin Caceres to injury. Andrea Barzagli is listed as doubtful for the match, but expected to start. If history is to be on one side or another, then The Italian giants will be happy as Berlin is where Gianluigi Buffon played in the crowning moment of his career, winning the 2006 World Cup.

On our show this past Monday, we made our predictions:

Mike: 3-1 Barcelona normal time

We will re-cap today’s action on Monday night at 6pm EST with special guests Xoel Cardenas and Tom Marshall.
